Salvador Cabañas Update

I know many of you have probably been wondering how Salvador Cabañas is doing, following last week's tragedy.  You will be happy to know that the Paraguayan has awaken from his coma, and is said to be improving steadily by the day.  He has a lot of support from Southern California, to Mexico City, all the way to Lisbon where fellow countryman Cardozo wore an undershirt that said, "Fuerza Cabañas."  Hopefully Cabañas will be able to overcome this horrible situation and get back on the field.

Salvador Cabañas Shot in the Cabeza!!!

It is reported that Paraguay international and Club America goal scorer Salvador Cabañas was shot in the head after a bar fight in Mexico City early this morning. The 29-year old goalscorer was out drinking with friends before being rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Two Mexican men were arrested in relation to the dispute. Cabañas scored 66 goals in 114 appearances for the club since joining them in 2006.
