Benfica in 1st

Benfica beat Uniao Leiria today at home 3-0. The score could have been a lot worse if not for one linesman (played today by Stevie Wonder) having his head up his ass. Goals by Oscar Cardozo, Javier "El Conejo" Saviola and Ruben Amorim. Amorim needs more playing time. Benfica play Setubal on Saturday while Lieria visit Madeira to play Maritimo on Sunday

Salvador Cabañas Update

I know many of you have probably been wondering how Salvador Cabañas is doing, following last week's tragedy.  You will be happy to know that the Paraguayan has awaken from his coma, and is said to be improving steadily by the day.  He has a lot of support from Southern California, to Mexico City, all the way to Lisbon where fellow countryman Cardozo wore an undershirt that said, "Fuerza Cabañas."  Hopefully Cabañas will be able to overcome this horrible situation and get back on the field.
