Top Winter Transfers

As a somewhat exciting winter transfer window comes to an end we have seen many players moving to new squads looking for a fresh start. Clubs like Sporting Lisbon and Celtic have made some key acquisitions to hopefully find themselves as contenders for their respective leagues. Although no big money transfers have taken place several big name players have moved, with the likes of Goran Pandev, Robinho, and the almost forgotten Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Heres a list of the top 10 transfers from the past month. Take a look at number 9 on the list.... looks like Pinto Da Costa may have made a rare mistake with Mario Bolatti considering Porto's struggles with their central midfield. Also the pride and joy of American soccer, Landon Donavon, has made his way onto the list after some stellar performances for Everton over the past few weeks.List.

Donovan Gets on the Scoresheet
US international Landon Donovan scored his first Premier League goal Wednesday against Sunderland. Since arriving in England he has been playing very well, and has been a consistent starter for Everton. He is due back in the States in early March for LA Galaxy's start to the season. Hopefully he can work out a deal to stay in England longer, as better competition could prove helpful, especially for the US's first game in South Africa, against England.
