Poppa's Picks

Every Friday I give my opinion on the games to watch for the weekend.  Let's see what we have this week...

Hamburg SV X VfL Wolfsburg - Friday 2:30PM ET
Even though Ruud won't play yet and these two German powerhouses are underachieving this season, you cannot doubt the talent that will be on the pitch.  Wolfsburg are still in a drought looking to catch rhythm, while the Hamburgers are 3-1-1 in their last five.

Sp. Braga X Sporting C.P. - Friday 3:45PM ET
Braga is fighting to hang on to the shared 1-spot with Benfica.  Joao Perreira playing against his former club just weeks after he made the switch.  Sporting need a good result in order to keep them in contention for a spot in Europe.

Arsenal X Manchester United - Sunday 11:00PM ET
The Devils travel to London as they try to keep up with Premier-leading Chelsea.  Arsene Wenger's army will try to do the same as just 2 points separate the three teams, with Chelsea having played one less match.  Not much to say here, this game is always a classic.

Sevilla X Valencia - Sunday 3:00PM ET
A clash between two Spanish giants..the two are in 6th and 3rd respectively.  David Villa has already scored 14 goals in La Liga, just one short of league-leading Lionel Messi.  Sevilla look to regain some ground in the top of the table.

Real Madrid X Deportivo La Coruña - Saturday 4:00PM ET
The Madrilistas are perfect at home, however not so much away.  They travel to 5th place Deportivo, who sit a good 10 points below the Galacticos.  Much like Sevilla, Deportivo are looking to lengthen their stay at Hotel Top of the Standings.  Best part of this game, you can catch it for free on ESPN360.com.
